Okka Ammayi Tappa is an interesting film starring Sundeep Kishan and Nithya Menen. The film is directed by Rajasimha Tadinada and has hit the screens today. Letís review it.
Krishna Vachan (Sundeep Kishan) is a happy go lucky guy who is in search of his childhood friend mango (Nithya Menon). One day, he gets stuck in a huge traffic jam on the Hitech City flyover. Meanwhile, he will come across mango and starts flirting her without knowing that she is the same girl for whom he is looking for. On the other hand, Aslam (Rakul Dev) is a big terrorist who is in Challapalli Jail. The reason behind the traffic jam on the flyover is Pakistani Anwar (Ravi Kishan) plans a bomb blast. Now, Krishna gets a phone call from a dreaded gangster called Anwar(Ravi Kishan) and blackmails that he will kill mango if he does not ignite the bomb planted under the flyover. What will krishna do now? Will he saves mango from Anwar? Watch the film to get answers for all these questions.
Sundeep Kishan is highly talented youngster, he delivered outstanding performance in this film. All the Nitya Menon fans will be disappointed after watching this film as she has nothing much to do with it. Also, the couple Sundeep Kishan and Nitya Menon score an average pass percentage. Ravi Kishanís character is not properly written or designed in the film, and his dubbing does not suit him and makes horrible. On the other hand, we also have Rahul Dev who played the role of a terrorist Aslam Bhai with limited screen presence in prison, random gym shots and a phone call. The best thing about the film is comedy track, a special mention to the comedy gang fish venkat, venu, thagubothu ramesh, saptagiri, prithvi and others, and they score good points. Good artists like Jaya Prakash, Jhansi, Ajay, Brahmaji, etc are wasted in the film.
The production values of the film are okay. Camera work by Chota K Naidu is impressive as the flyover and the surrounding areas have been showcased perfectly. Computer Graphics are poor in few areas, but the intelligent Chota K Naidu is successful in managing the things nicely. Artwork is fantastic, the flyover setting is good. The major drawback of the film is screenplay, most of the scenes are out of track and have not been executed perfectly. Now coming to the director Rajasimha, he has selected a decent and unique story but failed to execute in the way he wants to. First half of the film is worst, and he manages to cover up second half and the last few minutes is superb.
Last few minutes
Title has nothing to do with the film
Unique story with bad execution
