Brahmotsavam is a complete family entertainer starring Mahesh Babu, Kajar Agarwal, Samantha and Pranitha. Itís the much awaited film in the recent times and has hit the screens today. Letís review it.
Brahmotsavam is a simple story of Satya Raj and his joint family. Mahesh Babu is the son of Satya Raj and Revathi. Satya Raj is a good person and he speak good words and he wants others to do the same. Also, he directs all his family members to live together. But, one among his family members Rao Ramesh (Brother of Revathi) is always unhappy and doesnít give value to family and traditions. Rao Ramesh doesnít want to live his life under the direction or shadow of Satya Raj. to become important in the family, he decides to marry his daughter (Pranitha) to Mahesh Babu. But, twist in the tale arises when he comes to know about the love affair between Mahesh Babu and Kajal Agarwal. Now, the upset Rao Ramesh raises his voice against Satya Raj, and this incident leads to death of Satya Raj. Rest of the story is how mahesh takes everything into his hands and solve his family issues.
Mahesh Babu delivered impressive performance and he proved again in extracting good emotions after Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. He is becoming young day by day, and he looked very handsome in the film. Even though the star cast his huge, he carried the whole film on his shoulders. Satya Raj is apt for his role as a rich father of Mahesh Babu. Rao Ramesh is amazing and he delivered brilliant performance. Kajal Agarwalís chemistry with Mahesh is superb and she added some beauty to the film. Samantha has got limited screen presence and she is okay. Pranitha has nothing much to do with the film. Senior actresses JayaSudha and Revathi delivered good performance. The screen presence of all the other artists is limited and are good at their respective roles.
The production values of the film are rich, and it can be seen in each and every frame of the film. Rathnaveluís magic worked out well and he showcased the film with beautiful colors, and his photography takes the film to next level. Music is just okay. Now coming to the director Srikanth Addala, his screenplay is poor and the dialogues are complex. Second of the film is worst and destroys the output of the film.
Too many songs
Plenty of actors with little characterisation
Some sequences seem like a TV serial
Dialogues are hard to understand
